SONGLIST |
Here is my attempt at a list of every song that Nitocris have played. I know it is not complete, so if you know of anything missing please email me. |
INTERVIEWS |
Kira, Andy and Morgana did an interview with a guy from HM Magazine in 1994, at the time they released Ten Stories Down. The interviewer created the impression that he was a bit intimidated by Nitocris, and wasn't sure what to think about them. There is a great picture with lots of flannel and attitude, but I don't have a scanner so I couldn't include it. |
TV APPEARANCES |
Nitocris appeared on the very first program of the ABC TV show "Recovery".
They played "Sycophant", "Laugh At Me", and "Haemorrhaging Souls". Thanks to Marianne for extra info.
Nitocris have made several appearances on Channel Ten's Ground Zero program. The first time they played Darkside, the second time they played Darkside and Dirty and Delicious, and the third time they played Darkside and Feel. They also appeared on the ABC's 10:30 Slot and played In the Middle and did a short chat after the performance. |
RADIO APPEARANCES |
Nitocris have visited TripleJ many times.
Nitocris visited the TripleJ breakfast show, and played some acoustic songs in 1997. (see the interview at the bottom of this page) They have appeared on the Three Hours of Power many times. Sara and Kira talked about all sorts of stuff in 1999 when after recording All My Loving. Andy has gone on the show by herself a couple of times to talk about all sorts of things. The afternoon program has also had many visits from Nitocris. They have played acoustic songs several times, including Darkside and Thighs. They also visit community radio stations around the country and Sara and Andi did a long interview on 2XX in Canberra. As well as this the Nitocris hosted their own radio show on FBi radio in Sydney for a while. Sara and Andy have also appeared on MMM radio in Sydney for a short interview. |
RANDOM FACTS |
|
"We're playing a couple of acoustic songs," she says. "We're doing some
things off Butter. We've got a cellist and an opera singer. We're also going
to do a couple of Celtic songs that we've written."
That's not a very rock'n'roll time to play!
"That's why we're not playing very much rock 'n roll," Kira says with a
laugh. "We're playing mellow music. Apart from when we played Recovery we've
never played that early in the morning. We did the pilot for it. It was
really dodgy then. There was only about two people in the crowd and one of
them was my mum!"
